G1/G2 - Checked packets. G2 was asked to have rough drafts or outlines completed for today. G1 was given the option to have them done for extra credit. Students were taken to the computer lab to work on their papers for the entire block today. Students received instructions for typing their papers (handout), and they also received a copy of the rubric I will be using to grade their final drafts. Assignment: Typed drafts due for peer-editing on Thursday.
G3 - Checked Comparative Analysis Draft #3. Students peer-edited for the first half of the block. After lunch, I distributed calendars for the Trend unit, permission slips for the library field trip, and went through the powerpoint presentation over the Trend Analysis paper. Assignment: Create a list of 10 inquiry questions for your Trend paper. Revise the Comparative Analysis paper. It is due for my comments next time. Bring back the permission slip and $2 ASAP.
