December 20, 2013 (Blue) FINAL EXAMS

B1/B2 - Class Project Presentation Day.  I passed back some of the Horror Unit Take-Home Tests and Journals.  I collected Textbooks and copies of The Scarlet Letter.  Students presented the class project, and we celebrated in the cafeteria.  I asked students for feedback about the project and ways to improve it for the future.  Grades are NOT finalized in this class yet.  I will let you know when they are finalized.  B1 - I do not have all of the individual chapter assignments from you yet.  If I do not have it by 5:00 tonight, you will fail your final exam.

B4 - Students took the Final Exam today.  I collected Textbooks.  Textbooks will be redistributed again in January.  Even though most of the Final Exams have been graded, grades are NOT finalized in this class at this point.  I will let you know when they are finalized.

December 19, 2013 (Gold) FINAL EXAMS

G1 - Students took the Final Exam today.  I collected Textbooks.  Textbooks will be redistributed again in January.  Even though most of the Final Exams have been graded, grades are NOT finalized in this class at this point.  I will let you know when they are finalized.  

G3 - The last two groups gave their presentations today. I passed back Comparative Analysis papers.  Grades are NOT finalized in this class at all yet.  I still have quite a bit of work to do here.  I will let you know when grades are finalized.

December 18, 2013 (Blue)

B1/B2 - Today was the fourth day of our Class Project.  Please see your VP for more specific details about what you missed and to learn more about your assignments for Friday.  Assignments: Will vary by group.  Final Boardroom Presentation will be Friday, December 20.

B4 - We played review games the whole period today in preparation for the Final Exam.  I encouraged everyone to study as much as possible.  Use the review sheet you were given in class last time.  Even if you are failing, it is still possible that you will pass if you do well on the final exam, so please do not give up!! Assignment: Final Exam next time.  Please bring your textbook with you. There will be a portion of the Final for which you will need your book, and I will be collecting them at the end of the block and redistributing them next semester.

 

December 17, 2013 (Gold)

G1 - We played review games the whole period today in preparation for the Final Exam.  I encouraged everyone to study as much as possible.  Use the review sheet you were given in class last time.  Even if you are failing, it is still possible that you will pass if you do well on the final exam, so please do not give up!! Assignment: Final Exam next time.  Please bring your textbook with you. G3 - Most of the Research-Based Analysis Final Drafts were due today. Final Presentations continued.  Assignments: All remaining Research-Based Analysis Final Drafts and presentations are due in class next time.  We're almost at the end of the semester!

B4 - Test Review Sheet for Acts III, IV, and V DUE.  Students took the test over Acts III, IV, and V today.  When they finished, they were given the second Binder Quiz for the semester.  Included in the Binder Quiz is an extra credit opportunity for those who are well-organized.  After the Binder Quiz, students were given their Final Exam Review Sheets.  Assignments: Begin studying for the Final Exam.  Finals will be taken in all Blue Classes on Friday, December 20. Textbooks will be collected on Final Exam Day.

 

December 13, 2013 (Gold)

G1 - Test Review Sheet for Acts III, IV, and V DUE.  Students took the test over Acts III, IV, and V today.  When they finished, they were given the second Binder Quiz for the semester.  Included in the Binder Quiz is an extra credit opportunity for those who are well-organized.  After the Binder Quiz, students were given their Final Exam Review Sheets.  Assignments: Begin studying for the Final Exam.  Finals will be taken in all Gold Classes on Thursday, December 19. Textbooks will be collected on Final Exam Day.

G3 - Binders DUE by 10am today.  The first two groups presented their final presentations today. Presentations will continue on Tuesday.  Assignments:  Final Drafts of the Research-Based Analysis paper are due on Tuesday and Thursday of next week.  Please pay close attention to the individualized due dates you have been given on your Rough Draft comment sheets.  Final Presentations will be given by Groups 3 and 4 next time.

December 12, 2013 (Blue) Two-Hour Delay Day - Below Zero Temperatures

December 11, 2013 (Gold)

G1 - Act V: Scenes 1-3 Review Sheets DUE.  We finished watching the movie, Romeo and Juliet, today.  Students were given the rest of the block to work on their Test Review Sheet.  Assignments: Test Review Sheet DUE next time.  Test over Acts III, IV, and V next time.  Binder Quiz next time, too, so please be sure to bring it with you to class.

 G3 - Binders due (if ready).  I forgot to make an announcement about them last time, so I will accept them until 10am on Friday for full credit.  Groups drew timeslots for presentations today.  It was a BYOD day, so students worked on revisions and final presentations in class the entire block today.  Assignments:  If you haven't turned in your Binder, please do so by Friday at 10am.  Final Presentations will begin in class on Friday.  Final Drafts of the Research-Based Analysis are due on Tuesday.  Hang in there, guys! We're almost to the end!

B4 - We finished reading the play today!  We started on page 1036 and finished Act V: Scene 3 (p. 1049).  At the end of the block, we started watching the movie again (Acts III-V only).  Assignment: Complete the Review Sheet for Act V: Scenes 1-3.

December 9, 2013 (Gold)

G1 - We finished reading the play today!  We started on page 1042 and finished Act V: Scene 3 (p. 1049).  Students were given about twenty minutes to work on their Review Sheets, then we started watching the movie again (Acts III-V only).  Assignment: Complete the Review Sheet for Act V: Scenes 1-3.

G3 - Returned Rough Drafts of the Research-Based Analysis today.  Students were asked to bring their own devices today, and they were given the entire block to work on revisions or their group presentations.  Assignments: Final Presentations will begin on Friday.  We will work on time slots on Wednesday.  Final Drafts of the Research-Based Analysis paper are due on Tuesday, December 17.
